Announcing: Email Bounce Notifications in Churn Buster (via Zapier, Slack, and Webhooks)

For a company that bills customers on a recurring basis, an email bounce is a guarantee of future churn.

We’ve always believed that the true opportunity in B2B payment recovery isn’t in supposed-“algorithms” or machine learning.

But rather, in correcting the simple problems that require a bit of elbow grease, like:

  1. When Janet leaves Lightning Bolts, Inc. leaving you without a point-of-contact for your most-valuable customer.
  2. When Dave types in his email address wrong when signing up for your service ([email protected]con) and it never gets corrected.

These scenarios lead to a bad point-of-contact, and a “bounce” when you try to email them.

When you email them to ask for a new credit card after their original card eventually fails, you won’t be getting a response. And you’ll be churning a customer who may have stayed with you for months and years to come.

For a company that bills customers on a recurring basis, an email bounce is a guarantee of future churn.

Where we can build automation to protect against this kind of churn, we will. However today, we’re announcing three(!) new Churn Buster features that allow your team to roll up their collective sleeves, and recover valuable customers easily who would have otherwise churned had you not been smart enough to be using Churn Buster 🤓

1. Zapier Integration

Starting today, you can connect Churn Buster to any of the 750+ apps that are integrated with the Zapier platform. Want bounce alerts to get emailed to someone on your team? Want them to get added as a todo in Basecamp for your personal assistant? It’s all possible!

You can setup Zapier by going here if you’re a customer.

2. Slack Alerts

Churn Buster can now speak to your team directly in any Slack channel or direct message. Route bounces to your customer success team so they can share in the busting of churn.

You can setup Slack by going here if you’re a customer.

3. Webhook Notifications

You can now receive a JSON webhook whenever an email bounces. Want to feed bounce data into your dashboard or customer success tool? Want to trigger behavior in your own application? No problem!

You can setup webhooks by going here if you’re a customer.
