Slack Notifications
Send Churn Buster recovery activity to Slack. Subscribe any channel to dunning and cancel flow events, get the weekly summary, and route high-value escalations to your team.
Churn Buster posts recovery activity straight into Slack, so your team stays on top of what's happening without opening the dashboard.
Setup
Go to Settings → Integrations → Slack and click Add Slack Channel. For each channel, check the events it should receive and click Save. Every event is opt-in per channel, so you can send different events to different places - cancel wins to a #wins channel, email bounces to a support channel.
Events you can subscribe to
Beyond the weekly summary, there are six real-time events, grouped by product.
Dunning
- Email bounced - a past-due customer's recovery email bounced. Includes the bounce reason and description, so you know that channel won't reach them.
- Campaign started - a new dunning campaign began for a customer. Includes the past-due amount and a link to the customer.
- Campaign won - a dunning campaign recovered the payment.
- Campaign lost - a dunning campaign failed to recover the payment.
Cancel Flows
- Cancel session won - the cancel flow saved a customer. Includes the subscription value, the accepted offer if any, and a link to the customer.
- Cancel session lost - a customer canceled anyway. Includes the subscription value, the cancel reason, and a link to the customer.
General
- Weekly update - the recovery performance summary, delivered to the channel of your choice.
Escalations for high-value moments
For more visibility, you can send Escalation alerts to Slack when a high-value customer reaches a critical moment near the end of a campaign, so your team focuses on the opportunities that matter instead of a ping for every failed payment or at-risk customer.
Slack can generate a unique email address for a channel, under that channel's settings, that forwards any email into the channel. Use that address as the recipient of your Escalation in Churn Buster, and the alert shows up in Slack so your team knows when to step in.
